Vierailin keväällä Flea lelukaupassa, pieni paikka jossa minun oli pitänyt jo käydä jo jonkin aikaa sitten.
Asia joka minut vihdoin sai minut innostumaan oli kuva tuotteesta jonka takanurkassa pilkotti kaupan tuotteet. Kaupasta itsestään ei ollut ikinä mitään kuvia saatavilla joten en tiennyt yhtään mitä se sisälsi, lukuunottamatta yksittäiskuvia leluista ja tietona ainoastaan että myy ja ostaa uuttaa ja vanhempaa lelua.

During spring time I visited Flea toy store, small place I was supposed to check out some time ago.
The thing which finally made me excited was one image of a doll with part of the store and products in the background. From the store itself there wasn't any pictures available, so I didn't know what it contained, besides singular images of toys and that they buy new and old toys.

Alunperin minun oli tarkoitus käydä Stockmann Jumbossa katsastamassa XS leluosastoa, mutta kävikin niin että olimme muutenkin menossa käymään Tampereelle, niin pääsin sinne ensiksi käymään.
Viime vuonna, eli 2016, kaikki Stockmannin omat leluosastot muutettiin omiksi lelukaupoiksi. Helsingin keskustan Hamleyksi ja loput XS-lelukaupoiksi.
Hamley's on Brittiläinen ketju ja XS on Eurooppalainen ketju.

Originally I was supposed to check Stockmann Jumbo's XS toy section, but we ended up going to Tampere anyway so I checked out that one first.
In year 2016 all Stockmann's toy sections were transformed into their own toy stores.
Central Helsinki's into Hamley's and rest as XS toy stores.
Hamley's is a British chain and XS is Europe based chain.

Hamleys korvasi Stockmannin oman leluosaston jo viimevuoden syksyllä, mutta itse sain tietää asiasta vasta keväällä, kaksi kertaa olen kyllä ehtinyt jo siellä käydä.

Hamleys was replaced by XS toy store

Hamleys toy store is located in Helsinki's Stockmann.

Hamleys replaced Stockmann's toy section last fall, but I didn't hear about it until this spring, but I do have already been there twice now.

Traveling collectors' guide to Finland -Helsinki-

Hiya!
I wanted to make a small guide to people like collectors or just general toy buyers for children, who might want to know where to find various toys and such things when visiting Finland. First part will be about Helsinki and some general info on other places also.

So~  There's a high change if you are traveling to Finland, you end up at capital city Helsinki.
I'm a tourist myself since I have not lived there, but I certainly have been there for numerous times and gathered knowledge of various places where I like to visit.

Random basics for foreign travellers:
If you know or speak English you should survive just fine, most of the people in Finland know English. People can turn a bit shy or awkward when they try to speak other languages.
Don't ever start small talk or touch Finnish people, unless you are familiar with them.

If you want to travel when it's warmer, altought summers are still very cool, sunny and there's plant life, I suggest between May and August. July is usually warmest of months, but tempeture still rarely exeeds 30 celsius, but in direct sunlight it can get a bit hot.
If you want snow I suggest January and February. Climate change has turned November and December into pretty much snowless months in southern Finland and other months are pretty gloomy and cool also.

Remember to buy and use a reflector (Heijastin) during dark winter times. They come in all kinds shapes and colours/patterns. Many stores carry them, you can just attach them to bags or jacket's hem or if it's a strap version, jacket's sleeves.

Store is located in Kaivopiha area, it's a bit hidden due to not being straight up visible from the streets.
There are signs outside. Just walk hallway down past Subway to the end and you will find the store.

Store contains lot of manga in English and Finnish, lots of board games also in English, trading card stuff, collectibles, figures, lot's of miniatures and painting supplies.

I unfortunately have very limited info on this part.
Central Helsinki does have some fleamarkets, but they are mostly for clothing and such.
I also have not visited them much, so central Helsinki is not very good for finding treasures.
(Or I don't just have enough knowledge of such places)
Fida recycling centres do have toys, so take a look if you come across one.

Tallinna 2015 - Kevätreissu - Spring trip

Yush! Kyllä siellä tulikin tehtyä paljonkin ostoksia, mutta tässä postauksessa on vain kuvia reissulta, tavarat tulevat myöhemmin.
Meidänhän oli siis tarkoitus lähteä 18. päivä, mutta sitten siskoni oli muistanut ajan väärin ja olimme tuntia myöhemmin terminaalissa. Onneksi saimme siirrettyä reissun seuraavalle päivälle.

Yush! I certainly did alot some shopping, but this post will only include pictures from the trip, stuff comes later.
We were supposed to leave on 18th day, but then my sister remembered the time wrong and we were one hour late. Thankfully it was possible to move trip to the next day.

Voi miten paljon heillä oli Schleich figuureja ja sitten Minecraft tavarat ovat niin hienosti esillä. :D

Oh how many Schleich figures they had and then Minecraft items are so nicely displayed. :D

Harmittavasti My Little Pony Fash'emsejä ei ikinä tullut Suomeen, vaikka muita (Mash'ems) löytyi BR-Leluista ja Toys 'R' Usista kuten Hello Kitty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ja Smurfit.
9,90 euroa kahdesta ponista on kumminkin kyllä aivan liian paljon.

Unfortunately My Little Pony Fash'ems were never released in Finland, even thought BR-Lelut and Toys 'R' Us had others (Mash'ems) like Hello Kitty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ja Smurfs.
9,90 euros (about $11) for two ponies is a little too much.

Ehdin tilata Virolaisesta lelukaupasta Pinkie Cooper nuken mikä olikin hyvä koska en löytänyt muita kuin Pepper Parsonin sillä matkalla. Nyt sitten puuttuisi enää vain Ginger Jones.

I already ordered a Pinkie Cooper doll from a Estonian online toystore, which was good since I didn't find any other dolls other than Pepper Parson on that trip. So now I'm only missing Ginger Jones.

Harmittaa vain että tämän setin mukana tuli vain karkkitarroja eikä neljä muovista karkkia kuten muissa seteissä on ollut.

Kawaii Crush series is not also available in Finland and I didn't know anything about this 'till I found them at Juku's store.
So adorable and colourful set~
It just sucks that this set included candy stickers, instead of four plastic sweets like some other sets have.
