Lelu ja huonekalukirppis - Toy and furniture fleamarket

Tällä kertaa kerronkin paikasta josta moni ei vaikuta ainakaan tietävän, en olisi kyllä minäkään tiennyt ellei yksi toinen keräilijä olisi siitä maininnut; lelu ja huonekalukirppis.
Sijaintikin on aika sivussa, tehdas/varasto-alueella, ettei ole ihan helppo sinne edes eksyä. Vuokra onkin varmasti kuitenkin aika halpa~

Osoite on

Paikalle pääsee parhaiten autolla.

This time I'm telling you about a place which not many people seems to know about, I wouldn't had either, unless other collector hadn't mentioned about it; Toy and furniture fleamarket.
Location is also very much on the side, factory/warehouse area, so it's not really that easy to even end up there. Rent atleast must be cheap~
I tought the place would have more furniture than toys, but oh boy I was so wrong.
Whole place was covered with small toys and figures.

After some time going trough the place, I got overwhelmed with the amount of stuff, I would normally snatch figures I want, but I did in the end get few figs and at some point I'm going there again, it's such amazing toy filled place.

I recommend the place wether you are a toy collector, play with them or collect them.

AAA-merkkiset eläinfiguurit - AAA brand animal figures

Kovin paljoa AAA:n eläinfiguureista ei tiedetä, yhtiö on kuitenkin yli 30 vuotta tuottanut muovisia tuotteita ja on erikoistunut muovifiguureihin.
Suomessa mynnissä olleista en tiedä yhtään, menneistä myyntipaikoista ainakaan, ainoa paikka jonka tiedän mikä nykyään myy ainakin AAA:n mereneläviä on Linnanmäen Sea Life.

Not much is known about AAA's animalfigures, company does has produced plastic products for over 30 years and is specialized in plastic figures.
I don't know much about those sold in Finland, atleast where they were sold in the past, only place I currently know which sells AAA's sea creatures is Linnanmäki's Sea Life.

^ Oman kokoelmani olen onnistunut kasaamaan kirpputoreilta löydetystä aarteista.

^  My own collection I gathered from various fleamarkets.
Last time when we visited Sea Life, I regret not buying the sea horse, but later on I found it from Tori X fleamarket and after that it has appeared again twice.
Figures itself aren't that special, but they are very good quality basic animal figures. :3

Skorpioni, yksi suosikeistani.
Scorpion, one of my favorites.

Vasikka - Calf

^ Figuurit on helppo tunnistaa ympyrästä jossa on kolme A kirjainta sisällä.
^  Figures are easy to recognize from three As in a circle.

Hamleys lelukauppa - Hamleys toy store

Hamleysin tilalla on nykyään XS lelukauppa
Hamleys lelukauppa sijaitsee Helsingin Stockmannilla.
Hamleys korvasi Stockmannin oman leluosaston jo viimevuoden syksyllä, mutta itse sain tietää asiasta vasta keväällä, kaksi kertaa olen kyllä ehtinyt jo siellä käydä.

Hamleys was replaced by XS toy store
Hamleys toy store is located in Helsinki's Stockmann.
Hamleys replaced Stockmann's toy section last fall, but I didn't hear about it until this spring, but I do have already been there twice now.

Loppujen lopuksi onnistuin kuitenkin löytämään osan toivomistani figuureista; Darling Charming Ever After High nuken, Monster High Fright Mares - Frets Quartzmanenin, Safari Ltd:n sinisen lohikäärmeen, Chap Mein figuja ja Aku Ankka Tsum Tsum pehmon.
Olen hyvin tyytyväinen reissuun. :3

So, now for the third time I traveled to Tallinn at the end of May and this time spend two days there.
Very first place we went to was harbour's Sadamarket, but I have to say that place is just full of tourist stuff, most of the sellers had fake children shirts and some of them had bootleg toys, but I didn't dare to go into them, since they felt like tourists traps. I unfortanely forgot to take pictures.

After this we visited flea market. Flea markets aren't that common or in fashion like in Finland, so it was this trip's only one and I didn't really find anything interesting.
We then continued to our hotel room for a rest.

In the end I managed to get some of the items I wished to find; Darling Charming Ever After High doll, Monster High Fright Mares - Frets Quartzmane, Safari Ltd's blue dragon, Chap Mei figures and Donald Duck Tsum Tsum plush and I'm happy with the trip. :3

^ Vietyämme matkatavarat hotelliin, lähdimme kävelemään kohti Kaubamajaa.
Rakennuksen ylimmästä viidennestä kerroksesta löytyi iso leluosasto.

^ After taking our luggage into a hotel, we walked to Kaubamaja.
Building's top fifth floor had awesome big toy section.

Traveling collectors' guide to Finland -Helsinki-

Hiya!
I wanted to make a small guide to people like collectors or just general toy buyers for children, who might want to know where to find various toys and such things when visiting Finland. First part will be about Helsinki and some general info on other places also.

So~  There's a high change if you are traveling to Finland, you end up at capital city Helsinki.
I'm a tourist myself since I have not lived there, but I certainly have been there for numerous times and gathered knowledge of various places where I like to visit.

Random basics for foreign travellers:
If you know or speak English you should survive just fine, most of the people in Finland know English. People can turn a bit shy or awkward when they try to speak other languages.
Don't ever start small talk or touch Finnish people, unless you are familiar with them.

If you want to travel when it's warmer, altought summers are still very cool, sunny and there's plant life, I suggest between May and August. July is usually warmest of months, but tempeture still rarely exeeds 30 celsius, but in direct sunlight it can get a bit hot.
If you want snow I suggest January and February. Climate change has turned November and December into pretty much snowless months in southern Finland and other months are pretty gloomy and cool also.

Remember to buy and use a reflector (Heijastin) during dark winter times. They come in all kinds shapes and colours/patterns. Many stores carry them, you can just attach them to bags or jacket's hem or if it's a strap version, jacket's sleeves.

Sinelli

-Buying used items-

I unfortunately have very limited info on this part.
Central Helsinki does have some fleamarkets, but they are mostly for clothing and such.
I also have not visited them much, so central Helsinki is not very good for finding treasures.
(Or I don't just have enough knowledge of such places)
Fida recycling centres do have toys, so take a look if you come across one.
